Receive Bitcoin Cash (BCH)

Receiving Bitcoin Cash (BCH) from an external address to your Rain account can be done via a QR code or by using your Rain account Bitcoin Cash address. 

 

NOTE: Please ensure to transfer your BCH through the BCH network only.

 

Requirements: 

  1. Rain account. You will need a Rain account to receive BCH.
  2. Rain BCH address. You will need your Rain BCH address in order to receive BCH.

Steps (Rain website): 

  1. Log in to your Rain account. 
  2. Click on Portfolio.Portfoy.png
  3. Click on Receive. 

There are two ways to receive Bitcoin Cash in your Rain account, either using your Bitcoin Cash Address or a QR code.

Method 1: Using the QR code 

  1. Open your external BCH wallet containing the funds you want to transfer.
  2. Click on the QR code icon in the wallet application.
  3. Hold the device camera over the Rain QR code. 

Method 2: Using your Bitcoin Cash address

  1. Copy your Rain BCH address under "Receive to".
  2. Open your external BCH wallet containing the funds you want to transfer.
  3. Paste the address into your external BCH wallet.Screen_Shot_2022-04-27_at_12.21.32.png

NOTE: Bitcoin Cash transfers take 10 minutes to 1 hour to arrive. 

  

Steps (Rain mobile app):

  1. Open the Rain app on your phone. For more information about the Rain app click here.
  2. Visit the market or portfolio page and select Bitcoin Cash
  3. Tap Trade and select Receive

There are two ways to receive Bitcoin Cash in your Rain account, either using your Bitcoin Cash Address or a QR code.

Method 1: Using the QR code 

  1. Hold the device camera over the Rain QR code. 

Method 2: Using your Bitcoin Cash address

  1. Copy your Rain BCH address in the field under "Share your address". 
  2. Open your external BCH wallet containing the funds you want to transfer.
  3. Paste the address into your BCH wallet containing the funds you want to transfer.
